Pontiac Repair: Replacing drivers seat, auto parts dealer, power seat

I have a 2006 Pontiac Torrent.  I really like this truck but would like to add a power driver's seat.  If I find a power seat at an auto parts dealer, is there a lot entailed to changing it for a manual seat?  I've done some reading and it appears that some vehicles are wired for a power seat even though that option doesn't come with that particular vehicle.  If this is the case, it shouldn't be too difficult to swap them.  Thanks.

Your right a lot of these van have the harness already there under the carpet even know the van didn't have that option. It depnds on what options were ordered with the van as to wether it has the pug there or not.. You may want to take a peek under the carpet/seat and see if the plug is there. Does this van have a power sliding door option on the right side or left side of the van? I belive on some of them they used the same ckt. breaker to run the door and the seat so if the van has the power sliding door chnaces are the harness would be there. good luck :)
