Pontiac Repair: starter, grand prix gt, head lamps

Where is the starter on 2002 grand prix gt 2002.  My car will not start I turn the key and it doesn't make a sound. The lights work radio works wipers. There is no alarm.what could it be

it is located on the bottom of the engine towards the front of the car. usually they just click when you turn the key that would indicate a bad starter motor. Do the head lamps dim or anything when you try to crank the car over? How about the security lamp does that come on and or flash? have you tried the second key yet? you could have a theft system issue here the came from the factory with a theft system and that could be your issue here.
