Pontiac Repair: 1994 fire bird engine swap, pontiac fire bird, engine wiring harness

hi i have a 1994 pontiac fire bird with a 3.4L motor in it i want to change it to a 3.8L i was wondering if this is possible and what would all have to be changed to do it.the tranny i have in the car now is out of a 3.8 and i was also wondering if i would be able to use the 3.4L clutch if i change the motor to 3.8 yhanks for your time Jeff

No they will not interchange. The bolt pattern on the engine is different for a 3.4 then a 3.8 one is a chevy engine and the other is a buick engine. Same with the clutch they will not interchange. Also the engine wiring harness and engine computer are different. The electronics in the car are different too for the factory theft system. So It's not fesable to do at least for the do it your selfer the cars of today are much more complex then that of the 60 amd 70's where you could just drop in a different engine and away you go..
