Pontiac Repair: 2000 Pontiac Gram prix air conditioner, gram prix, rust belt

Question
My AC does not blow Cold Air...the light comes and the blower works.
this was the 1st time I used it just brought the car 2nd hand.

Hey Mark:

well it can be an electrical issue withe the a/c ststem that the compresor clutch will not turn on and it's not working or the system is low on a charge and that's why it's not working. If you live in the rust belt like I do chances are it nees an a/c condenser which is under the hood in front of the radiator. that part has a tendency to rot out and thne the charge in the system leaks out. I can buy a recharge kit that has a tracer dye in it and try recharging the system and when that charge leaks out the dye is left behind to find the leak the charge inn the system is a clear odorless gas called 134A and when it's leaking you can't see it that is what the dye does it leaves a footprint where the leak is. My guess is that it's that rather then an electrical fault.. good luck :)
