Pontiac Repair: Blower motor, adaptor plate, blower motors

Question
The dealership says there are 2 types of blower motors for an 02 bonneville one with a cooling tube ane one without. How do I know which one I need if my blower was missing when i bought the car what do i look for?

Well I'm not a prts guy so I willtry to help you here as best as I can I just fix 'em don't look up the parts. I believe there are 2 designs and I think you can use the second design on any of the cars but they need an adaptor plate and a couple of screws to make it work. I can't tell you if the first or second design had a cooler tube or not but I belive if you get the one that needs the adaptor plate they will match up okay. But don't quote me. sorry I can't help you more then that.. It may help if you give the parts guy the complete vin # of the car and there may be a break down of after a certain VIN# gets 1 art and before gets the other that man help also. good luck :)
