Motorcycle Repair: no start no run, hyosung 125, combustion chamber

Question
Hi,
I just purchased a 1999 hyosung 125 four stroke, on the registration it says make,Kasea. On the trailing arms it says suzuki. The problem is, the bike was in a shop and the tech said it had weak spark and it needed a new cdi unit. The part was going to cost approx 300 bucks so it wasnt repaired. Another tech guy said that it would not have weak spark, it would either have spark or no spark. This same tech said it was more than likely a carb problem. I am an auto tech so i went to work on it today. I found that it has spark enough to fire the spark plug, it doesnt look super hot but its spark. The spark plug is new so i cleaned it up with carb clean and put it in the bike. I kicked the motor over a few times like normal and no fire, i pulled the plug and it was wet. So i shut the fuel off and drained the gas out of the carb, i then kicked the motor enough times to clear the combustion chamber and used air to blow it out so there was no chance of flooding it again. I then sprayed a shot of carb cleaner into the intake and kicked the motor over and no fire.I also checked for good compression and no vavle terrain problems. I checked the power and ground at the cdi unit and the coil. all were good. I dont have a repair manual on the bike so i am limited on what i can check. please let me know what You think and if possible any tips you might have. I would also like to know about this make of bike, is it an off brand or suzuki? Any idea on where I can get parts for this? thanks much nathan. P.S. this bike just died one day and wouldnt start. It has always ran great, i know the history of it.

Answer
Hi Nathan,

There may be no spark under compression. Need to see a healthy blue arc when testing the plug.

If you have an arc, check for loose of corroded electrical connectors. If no spark, CDI/ECM problem likely.

I have no resources for this brand motorcycle.
