Pontiac Repair: 2009 Pontiac G5, visible body, radiator

Question
Our daughter had her car for 2 weeks before hitting a concrete median.  It ruined the wheels on the passenger side, and tore a hole in the bottom of the radiator.  The engine cradle may also be bent.  We didn't turn this in on our insurance due to the incredible increase it would cause in our premiums.  There is no visible body damage, but we are checking to see if the frame is bent.  If it is, will this mean the car is shot?  Thanks so much.

Answer
Hi Patricia:

without seeing it it's hard to say. the extent of the damage it may have "hidden" damage too. Being that it's a 2009 car and there is no apparent "body" damage I would say that the car will not be totaled! However the damage may be quite expensive it it indeed damaged the engine sub frame. The sub frame is not repairable it has to be replaced but it's not part of the body of the car.. .I'm not a body shop guy so I have NO IDEA how expensive it could be to repair but my guess in into the thousands of dollars if that frame needs to be replaced along with the wheel/tire/radiator...
.. Good luck :)
