Pontiac Repair: 95 Pontiac Grand Am? 3100 SFI V6 water outler, pontiac grand am, metal tube

Question
I replaced the thermostat in my 95 Pontiac Grand Am? 3100 SFI V6, but was careless and kinked the hose/metal tube that runs from the coolant reservoir into the top of the water outlet. Its gotta be replaced, but I've had no luck finding anything like it, and no one seems to know what I'm talking about, my question is what would this hose/metal tube be called, and its purpose?

Answer
i believe its correct name is a bypass tube, a dealer should be able to give you maybe a more proper name, should be able to get one at an aftermarket, might try seeing if they can produce an image of the cooling system and related parts, and pick it out of the picture
