Pontiac Repair: blower motor on a 96 grand am, loose plug, purple wire

The blower on the car will sometimes come on when work sometimes and others it wont or will cut off once it is running. do i have a bad motor or just a loose plug or short?

It can be any of the things you mentioned usually it's a bad motor or a bad connection at the motor. with the fan on high engine off open the hood and wiggles the purple wire going to the motor it it cuts oss it's a bad connection maybe just the contact opened up a bit from the heat of the motor if not replace the plug if it doesn't cut out chances are it's a bad motor and it just goes bad when you hit a bump or when it gets hot it cuts out.. good luck :)
