Pontiac Repair: Grand Am Wipers, grand am gt, pontiac grand am gt

I have a 2005 Pontiac Grand Am GT w/V6 engine and my passenger side wiper no longer works (driver's side still works).  Does each wiper operate on separate transmissions?

No they use the same transmission either the transmission broke or the arm stripped out on the transmsission. I'd guess it just needs an arm that is the weak link in the system. there is a plastic cap on the wiper arm where the hold down nut it pop off the cap with a small screw sriver and turn on the wipers if the nut turns back and forth but not the arm the arm is stripped out if the nut is not moving the tranmission broke.
