Pontiac Repair: 02 Grand Am, engine cranks, cylinder engine

I wrote to you yesterday about an 02 Grand Am, and I am in the process of purchasing the car however I think I am looking at an engine replacement. There is no compression and the engine cranks fast. I am thinking a chain blew and may have bent the valve(s). Do you think were on the right track?

Does this have a 4 cylinder engine in it or a 6? if it's a 4 Yes it's pretty likey no so much on a 6. before you buy this car make sure you can find a replacment engine at a good price before you buy it. If the chain break on either engine it will bend valves they are interferance engines. meaning they will bend valves in the chain breaks.
