i have a pontiac grand am gt and the power steering pump is not pumping but there is electical to it is there a fuse

Hi Janice:

the electrical connector on the pump doesn't have anything to do with it pumping ot not. That is for variable assist. if that part failed you would still have assist. That is controlled my the anti-lock brak module. If the pump is not pumping fluid and you have no assist chances are the pump is bad more then likely the shaft that turn the pump broke off inside the pump, It was pretty common back in that vinatge..
