Pontiac Repair: Pontiac brakes, universal brake, universal tool

Question
When replacing the rear pads on a 2007 Grand Prix do you just turn in the piston or can you squeeze it back?

Answer
Hey Dean;
you need to rotate the piston as your pushing it back in. Most of the "universal" brake piston tools have a set up on them that will work on these cars. the universal tool will fit on the end of a 3/8" socket extension bar and work great for turning the piston back into the caliper.
