Pontiac Repair: Oldsmobile Silhouette 1999, oldsmobile silhouette, wheel bearings

Hi Mr. Puccio:

When driving, after short period of time, two warning lights come on and stay on the Instrument Panel Board; one is ABS, the other TCS. I have never had it before. I am not the first owner of this vehicle. Is it related to the engine or to the breaks? Before, I have noticed a few times the engine icon staying on the same board, but not lately. Please advice where to look for a trouble.

Hi Jerry:

the most likley cause for this is a wheel speed sensor and or sensor harness at one of the wheels. I would stop at one of the big box auto staores and have them scan it for codes. That way you will know where to start looking. on this van the wheel speed sensors are part of the wheel bearings.
