Cadillac Repair: 96 Cadillac Eldorado Northstar Eng. V8, cadillac eldorado, abs brakes

I recently had the transmission rebuilt and right after that the ABS light came on and will not go off.  I took it too a local mechanic (for fear of high bill from Cadillac house) and they could not find the problem.  At first I thought the transmission people had messed up something in the wheel, but that didn't prove to be right.   They say I still have ABS brakes but the light stays on and I'm leary of my wife driving it.  it has 114,000 miles on it. A new motor (40k) and a rebuilt transmission just this year.  I hate to dump it now, but don't want to spend too much on repairs anymore.  help.

Enter diagnostics by simultaneously pressing OFF and WARMER buttons (analog cluster) Off and PASS WARMER buttons until all displays are lit and release the buttons and the fault codes will display. and will stop when you see PCM?.

What codes do you have ?.


also check the wire connections at both front wheels for a tight and secure connection BEFORE you do the code check per above.
