Pontiac Repair: My car is jumping and the check engine light is on., torque converter clutch, pontiac grand prix

I have a 01 pontiac grand prix and my check engine light came on. I found out the torque converter clutch circuit is stuck on and the shift solenoid A is stuck on how much is it to fix these problems? I guess this is all thats wrong with it. My car is jumping and the rpm gauge is jumping when i drive and my car is slow to pick up speed.

Hi Brittany:
assuming that the issue is just the shift solenoid and nothing else The parts are maybe $200.00 but the labor is pretty intensive add about 5 hours of labor at what ever the shop labor rate is per hour for the total bill. If that solenid is bad it's starting out either in 2'nd or 3'rd gear instead of 1'st and that's why it's slow to accelerate.
