Pontiac Repair: transam ws6, pontiac dealer, rivots

Question
Drivers side window no longer operational. Will go down 1/4 inch then nothing. I have heard that this is an expensive and hard repair. Any suggestions?

will the window go back up after it stops going down? More then likley the motor circuit breaker is tripping out due to the window binging on the regulator or in the run channels for the glass. The motor is serviced with the regulator on that car. it's a dealer only part as well. A chevy or Pontiac dealer should have it or can order it. If this car has T-tops this is a difficult job and it shouldn't be tackled by the do it your selfer. There are adjustments on the runchannels that a T-top car has that a redular coupe doesn't have. The regulator is pop rivited to the door skin as well and they are 1/4" rivots and I'm sure you don't have a rivot gun that will handle those size fasteners. Good luck :)
