Pontiac Repair: Blower Motor is unoperable, pontiac grand prix, lcd test

Question
Hi...I have a blower motor that is inoperable in my 2004 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP....I read the TSB for the issue and it told me to install a capacitor...after installation the new blower motor I put in began to work for two days and then it stopped working again...I took off the capacitor and no luck...i disconnected the plug to the blower motor and I used an LCD test light and I received power going to the motor...then put the test light on a power source and probed the ground going to the blower motor and I have a very weak ground...Any ideas would be very appreciated. Thank You

Answer
Hi Kevin:

more then  likely the blower motor control module is bad. That the module mounted right next to the blower motor. that capacitor bulletin is not for a motor in op. It's for the motor running when the key is off. The blower modules on these go bad all this time they either quit all together or keep the motor running with the key off. This is a dealer only part too. Good luck :)
