Pontiac Repair: 2002 GRAND AM, intake manifold, coolant

Question
CAR OVER HEATS.  TOLD I NEED A NEW RESUVWAR (sp) BUT I SEE IT COULD BE THE INTAKE MANIFOLD OR THE THERMOSTAT.  i HAVE READ THIS IS A PROBLEM ON MY CAR.  NOTE i AM A VERY PRETTY SINGLE WOMAN AND WANT TO BE INFORMED BECAUSE I ALWAYS FEEL LIKE I AM BEING OVER CHARGED! ENLIGHTEN ME

Answer
it could be the resevoir, intake or thermostat housing, without actually seeing it, it would be very hard to say.  But I would look for coolant leaking about the engine before condeming anything.   We try to treat all our customers the same, but we do give preference to the pretty and single :).  Does the coolant ever get low in the resevoir?  if so that is a good indication that you have a leak.
