Pontiac Repair: electronic level control, pontiac transport, rust belt

Question
QUESTION: We found the electronic level control box under van and wanted to know where the arm is supposed to be located on top of the bar or in the middle, the air for this was running continuously and we just replaced the shocks.I have a 97 Pontiac Transport extended 3.4. Thanks for any help.

ANSWER: Hi Cindy:

The link for the level sensor arm goes from the sensor to the cross rod on the suspension on the van. There is a little metal stuf the link attaches to. it faces down from the arm on the level sensor and attaches to the link on the rear suspension.
Good luck :)

QUESTION: I didn't understand what you were talking about but thought i'd send a picture to see if i am missing anything. Also could you tell exactly where the blend door actuator is on 97 pontiac transport extended 3.4?I now have some air in the front and icy cold in the back think this could be the problem. Thank you again.

Answer
from that picyure it looks like the link broke off the arm on the level control module. I can't tell for sure but it looke like the link is broken and or the attcahment ball for the link is rotted of the arm for the level sensor. either way it looks to me like you live in the rust belt like I do and yout gonna need the linkage that goes between the suspension arm and the also the level control module. As for the temp The temp d not allowing full cold door is controlled by a electric motor on the side of the heater box. Or the system could be low on a a/c charge of 134A. I have seen these vans with a low charge blow cold in the rera and warm up front. judging from the picture you sent me I would say it's a safe bet you have a leak in the a/c system and something is rutted out like a condenser or a rear line going to the rear a/c system... Also judging from the piture you sent me the under carrage on this van looks pretty rusty and in poor shape I's really think twice before I dump a ton of $ into this van brake lines may be the next thing to go on it.. Good luck :)
