Pontiac Repair: Skipping Cylinder, pontiac bonneville, spark plug wire

Question
I have a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville and apparently it has a skipping cylinder. How do i get this fix and how much is it to get fixed?

Answer
Hi Cheretta:

well it dpends on why that cylinder in misfiring as to how much it will cost to get it fixed. it can be somehting as simple as a spark plug wire and plug that are carbon cracked or burnt and that's a less than $1000. fix. it could be a fule injector that it' dirty and that is a pretty easy and cheap fix to have the injectors cleaned on the car. It could be a bad fuel injector and those are a bit pricey and if it needs one only replace it with a factory replacemnet part no aftermarkey parts. Or lastly an engine mechanical issue wlike a burnt valve or broken valve spring that gets expensive in a hurry due to the labor involved in the repair not som much the parts them self. Good luck :)
