Pontiac Repair: windows sunroof radio stopped working, pontiac grad prix, haynes manuals

my daughter has a 97 pontiac grad prix 6 cylinder 2 door
both windows and sunroof and radio stopped working  i checked and no power is getting to any of these  i checked all the fuses  and they are all good  shes a youngster on a budget so im trying to help her out  any ideas   thanks alot

Hi Leo:

all of the things you mentioned that quit working are on what is called retained acccessory power. The body control module runs a replay that powers those items up. it can be the body computer that is bad or the relay for the "RAP" that is bad. It's hard to say what the issue is without seeing it. My online service info only goes back to 1998. So I'm not even sure if a 97 and 98 are the same. Your going to need ot get a repair manual what has wiring diagrams in it and look for retained accessory power in the manual.. Stay away from Haynes manuals. I can tell you the RAP relay is up behind the glove box and the body control module is by the parking brake pedal. But you could have an ignition swithc input to these items that is bad as well. It's a pretty complex system. Good luck :)
