Pontiac Repair: 98 sunfirecranks but will not start, original computer, vtd

This started out as once in a while it would not start now it will not start at all. changed computer still nothing.HELP

Hi David:

lets start at square #1. If you chnaged the computer in this car it will not start! The compuyters are not programmed from the factory they need to be programmed with the proper calibations to make the car run and then they need a VTD lear which is a security system learn. put the original computer back in the car and you need to check for fuel pressure this engine needs about 40-45 psi. then  check for spark on all 4 cylinders. lastly check for injector pulse. your missing one of these elements to kake it run but untill yuou know what's missing it's heard to say what is actually wrong with this car.
