Pontiac Repair: radiator hose found loose under hood, radiator hose, loose hose

Today there was a puddle of water on front passenger side. I popped hood,and there was a loose hose close to firewall on same side.Found where water came in on passenger side right above where left food sits. How can a hose blow off  by itself and leave so much water?

what type of car is this? A Grand Am or sunfire? My guess is the heater core pipe broke off the heater core and the hose is just dangeling there. Those 2 cars I mentioned were noted for heater core problems they have plastioc pipes on them and the ehat cycles eventually do in the plastic and the pipes break off. I would guess that is what happened. DO NOT drive it have it towed. The hoses don't just loosen up by them selfs something broke. Good luck :)
