if the problem is a leaking sunroof and it got into the connection will letting it dry out fix the problem.

Yes and no. Those cars have an issue with the harness going to the gas pedal gets water in it due to one of the sun roof drain hoses comming off and the water leaking into the car. If it has been doing it long enough there can be a corrosion build up in the connector and the lamp will stay on. bottom line is you need to get the water leak fixed. Good luck :0
