Pontiac Repair: electrical problem, pontiac grand prix, windshield wiper

Question
I have a 2001 Pontiac Grand Prix GT.  I take really good care of it although it has 180,000 miles on it.  Recently the brake light, low windshield wiper fluid light, service engine soon, and low oil light illuminate periodically.  I have changed the oil, checked the wiper fluid, had the comp scan with no codes and my brakes are good and e brake is not applied.  I have checked fuses and bought a new battery.  What is causing this?

Answer
Hi Carla:

Looks like you covered the basics. If all the lamps come on at the same time and stay on for a key cycle and then go out the next I would suspect a bad insterment panel cluster "speedo" assembly. If tham lamps come at different times it could be a wiring issue like a bad ground or rubbed throuigh wire harness somewhere. The fact that the service engine soon loght is on with no codes is a clue that for some reason there is something wrong with the cluster and it's turning the lamps on by it's self. good luck :)
