Pontiac Repair: 06 Pontiac G6 GTP HVAC Fan stuck on high, pontiac g6 gtp, pontiac g6

Question
I have an '06 Pontiac G6 GTP, 3.9L V6.  For some reason the HVAC fan is stuck on high, regardless of what position the control knob is set.  This vehicle does have Automatic Temperature and Fan control.  I have tried pulling and resetting just about every fuse and relay related to the Blower fan, but the fan just keeps blowing.  This same thing happened about a year ago, but it quit after about 2 days with no issues since, until this past week.  So far it shows no signs of quitting this time.

Answer
Hi Brent:

well the issue you have is one of 2 things. I assume the fan does turn off when you turn the key off and it doesn't continue to run?? The issue is with either the blower motor control module or in the hvac control head in the dash. More that likely it's with the blower motor control module that is the more common problem. If this car has less than 36,000 miles and it less the  3 years old it is covered under warranty. If it's out of warranty and you are going to replace it it's under the dash on the right side of the car next to the blower motor mounted to the bottom of the HVAC case it has one connector on it and one harness with 2 wires comming out of the module going to the motor. Good luck :)
