How do I replace rear shocks on a 1998 Pontiac Bonneville?

They are Strust in the back not shocks. You need special tools to compress the spring that is attached to the strut in order to remove the strut from the assembly. You can rent the tools from many of the big box car parts stores. when your done with replacing them you will need to have a 4 wheel alignment done as well due to removal of the strut will change the alignment setting in the rear.
