Pontiac Repair: 1998 Bonneville, upper intake manifold, plug holes

Question
My 1998 Bonneville started missing while driving down the highway, the other day it died and now won't start - acts like battery is dead, but even a new battery won't turn the car over. What could be causing this?

Answer
Hi Bonnie:

well I would try to crank over the car by the balancer on the front of the engine. use a socket and a breaker bar and see if the engine turns. The fact that it was misfiring anf then died and will not crank is one of 2 things either the engie seized up or possably is hydrolocked. WHat that is is coolant leaked into the engine and the engine can not compress a liquid. If it will not turn over take out the spark plugs and try turning it over again. If it turns and it pushes coolant out of the spark plug holes replace the upper intake manifold plenium that is the culprit of the leak. Good luck :)
