Pontiac Repair: 95 grand am studders, driving a stick shift, autolite plugs

Question
HI, my 95 grand am ,150,000 miles, studders at times. I can take my foot off the gas for a second, then step on it, it would be fine. Now, a few times, if I make a hard stop, it will stall, but it starts right up.  I removed the autolite plugs, they were a little white, are they too hot for it? oR is it the transmission? Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Answer
Hi Tom:

what engine is in this car? does it stall when comming to a stop? is it a 3 or 4 speed transmission? does it shake and shudde before it stalls like forgeeting to put the clucth in if you were driving a stick shift car? It could be a transmission issue like a sticking TCC valve if it has a 3 speed transmission. it could be a fuel pump, does it do it more so when it's low on fuel in the tank?
