Pontiac Repair: fob, model car, key chain

my door lock on my key chain won't work even though i replaced the battery, is there a fuse in the car that i should be replacing? or am i going to have to buy a new one.

what year and model car is this? When you replaced the battery it wasn't broken off the circuit board inside the remote was it? depending on what model and year this is It may just be a matter of re syncronizing the remote to the car.. on some of them stand near the car and press and hold the lock and unlock buttons at the same time for approx 15 seconds and it will learn the remote back to the car But only on certain years and models.
