Pontiac Repair: 96 Pontiac GrandPrix SE 3100 radiator replacement, pontiac grandprix, radiator replacement

I have a bad radiator in my 96 GrandPrix, and the new ones are cheaper locally in the 1" core than 5/8" core. Being hot here in Hotlanta I would much prefer the 1" core over the 5/8's. Will the tranny lines line up, and the fans mount properly with the 1" core?

I'm gonna say It will fit, But I'm not a prats guy I just fix 'em. As long as the diastance between tankto tank is the same It should fit. If the core is any wider or shorter then what you have it will not fit into the body correctly. The depth of the core 5/8 Vs 1" shouldn't make any difference with the fans I would think. to be truthful the diffrenece in the thicker core you will not notice it due to the way the fans run and the thermostat cycles.
