Pontiac Repair: 93 Pontiac heater fan motor, pontiac bonneville sse, pontiac bonneville

Question
Have an older neighbor with a '93 Pontiac bonneville SSE that when the ignition switch is removed - the blower fan motor continues to run. Presently the neg batt cable is removed until we try to figure this thing out.

Any ideas?

Hi lorin:
biing that this is an SSE Bonneville it has to have automatic air conditioning. The control module for the fan must have gone bad. the control module for the fan is under the hood on the top of the heater box. I belive it has 2 electrical connectors going into it. unplug it with the battery hooked back up and the fan should turn off. if so you found your problem. good luck :)
