Pontiac Repair: thermostat on grand am, upper radiator hose, pontiac grand am

i'm not sure where the thermostat is located on my 1992 pontiac grand am. can you help me? if posible with maybe a pic. to go with the answer. thanks,

Hi Joe:
which engine is in this car? 4 cylinder or a V6? either way it at the engine side of the upper radiator hose. on the 4 cylinder it's on the back of the cylinder head belod the power steering pump on the V6 it's on the rear of the intake manifold. make sure you get the gasket needed to replace it as well at the thermostat it's self. Good luck. Sorry no pictures om on lione service manuals for GM only go back to 1998.
