Pontiac Repair: 1991 pontiac grand prix se 3.1 v6, crank sensor, pontiac grand prix

Question
I've exhausted my attemps at removing the crank sensor it was so brittle it just broke apart.  There is nothing left to grab on to, it moved out a little but is stuck.  Can I remove the oil pan and push it out?  What are my options.

Thank you

Answer
That is your only option. You have to remove the oil pan and push it out from inside the engine. JUST MAKE SURE YOU DO NOT knick the wheel on the crankshaft that the sensor gets it's signal off. It sucks when that happens! there is really no way to get it out.. You don't want to push it into the block anymore breaking the pastic off because you will firce it into the crankshaft and damage it. once the pan is off you can use a long screwdriver or pick and push it out of the block.
