Pontiac Repair: 98 transport, galss, right position

Hello Todd,
I have a 98 transport and about 75% of the time when i turn on the wipers the pass side extends past the edge of the window. but it will only do this once. same thing when i use the delay but when it parks in delay it parks high on the window. then in each delay pass it will drop down to the normal delay location(about 3-4 wipes) then i turn them off and they park about2 inches to high. But later when i restart the car they park in the right position.
Any help??

well either a piece of linkage on the wiper transmission is bent or stripped out at that is why it extends past the edge of the galss. As for the wipers not parking properly It can be in the motor it's self or the park arm is acting up. The park arm connect the motor to the wiper linkage. This ar wears out and ther is a stop on the wiper linkage that this arm rides on that wears out or bend and when the park are is engauged to turn the wipers off and park them the park arm doesn't grab onto the stop in the right position and the wipers will either park high like your is doing or they will park in the straight up and down position. reguardgess od the issue it is going to have to come aprt to look for bent or stripped out parts.
