Pontiac Repair: motor/tranny swaps, cheap transportation, junk yard

I have 1997,98 gr. prix also 3 bonneville`s.Im trying to keep 3 kids into good cheap transportation.My 97 gr. prix has body damage.What i`d like to find is a chart or book for motor/tranny swaps vs year car. Ive stuck to the 3800 mtr.

Hi Bart:

as long as you stick with the same year engine you should have no problems. You will have to swap over the plumbing on the engine and the mounts but the rest of the stuff is interchangeable from an "H" body Bonneville to a "W" body Grand Prix. Any local Junk yard should be able to hlep you out with that just to make sure But I don't see any reason why they wouldn't swap out with out any issues. Good luck :)
