Pontiac Repair: 2001 pontiac grand prix se, pontiac grand prix, going through the fire

My car is leaking in the front passenger floor board. Just purchased car so I'm not sure exactly if it could be the heater core or just a clogged cowl, so how can I be sure?

well it's one of 2 things either the drain tube going through the fire wall is plugged up or the piece on the cowl fell off and the rain water is running striaght into the heater box. In order to see this the cowl has to be removed from the car to see if the deflector fell off. Ther is an updated deflector that fits the new body grand prix that will fir on the older ones as well. The part # for this is 15212454. Any Gm dealer can order it for you. But you have a good chance of either a Buick or Pontiac dealer having it in stock. Good luck :)
