Pontiac Repair: variable speed for heater on 97 sunfire, blower motor resistor, sunfire gt

hi there i wanted to know what the problem was on my 1997 sunfire gt. my heat does not work on all four speeds, it only works on levels 3 and 4. what piece is it that i would need to fix this problem? let me know thanks in advance

The most likely cause for this is a burnt out blower motor resistor. It's loacted in the bottom of the heater box next to the blower motor. It has 2 screws that attache it to the heater box. remove it and take a look at it. It is a printed circuit board and you will see where it burn out. Good luck :)
