Pontiac Repair: 2000 pontiac grand prix trunk wont open, pontiac grand prix, solenoid

Hey their I got an issue the trunk use to open with my remote. Now it doesnt. It has an electronic trunk release. the switch in the glove dept is good. sometomes i use to disconnect the wire plug that goes to the solenoid.and then it would work but now it doesnt do anything. you think is da solenoid bad .thanks

It workes from the button in the glove box but not the remote? Bow about the second remote? If it doesn't work from either remote but it does from the button there is an issue with the keyless entry receiver in the car. if it's completely inop now My guess would be the solenoid in the trunk or the wiring is bad to the solenoid. It's odd that it would have a wiring issue these are a pretty simple system they either work or they don't Very rarely is it an intemittant issue... My guess would be the release solenoid..
