i was wondering if i could use a automatic pcm in a manual 1996 dodge neon 2.0L DOHC i hope thats the last thing to change i have done everything else i hope but still no spark thank you

If there are indeed different computers (look at the part numbers) for the manual as opposed to the automatic transmission powertrains) then I would believe that you would find other problems in driveability even though the wiring of them would be identical. There are some preset factors that probably differ between the two. If the dealer shows them to be different depending upon which type of transmission is in the vehicle then I would not go with the wrong kind. So let a dealer parts counter look into whether they are different parts or not. Have you tried for fault codes using the ignition key (0n-off-on-off-on and leave on, doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time, then count the flashes between each pause of the check engine light; then repeat for accuracy, group the counts in pairs in the order of appearance to form the 2-digit code. Go www.allpar.com/fix/codes.html for a code translation). If that doesn't work then plug in an OBD-II code reader to a socket under the dash by the steering column. Maybe you will find a code that will explain the no spark.
