Pontiac Repair: cost of a pump, & parts of broken power steering, fluid leaks, rust belt

Hi....
I have a 1995 Grand Am SE Pontiac.  The power steering fluid leaks out and I heard something brake when I turned the wheel.
Could it be the pump?  What's the cost for the parts and the
repair estimate.  Thanks so much.

well without seeing this I can't tell you for sure what is leaking. But it's possably that just a line broke or rotted out and is leaking. If you live in the rust belt like I do anything is possable. I have even seen power steering gears rot out on these cars. If it's just a line it could be pretty cheap maybe $200.00 tops but if it's a steering gear it could be over $500.00. The pumps rarely go bad on these older cars. Good luck :)
