I had the windshild wipers going as i was trying to thaw the frozen fluid. I was then done and shut off the car. Later i went to leave and the wipers wouldn't do anything, i have checked the fuse and its fine and took out the diode and it looked fine then put it back and still nothing and suggestions before i take it to the dealership??

Answer
Hi Amanda:
If the fues is good for the wipers and the motor will not work Chnaces are that something went bad in the motor assembly. It's VERY rare that the wiper switches go bad anymore most of the time it's the motor or the control board for the motor that goes bad. In the winter the wiper systems take a beating. Most of the time the motors burn out or break the wiper linkage from people turning them on with too much snow on them or the blades are frozen to the glass and the weakes link usually breaks And it's the motor assembly. Good luck :)
