Pontiac Repair: 1990 Chevy truck, chevy truck, dump valve

I have a problem with the brake light it flashes on & off
when I turn on the ignition and continues to flask while I'm driving. The light stays on solid when I put the parking brake on. Then returns to flashing when I release the parking brake.

If this truck is eqippped with RWAl which it rear wheel anti-lock brakes that is why the lamp may be on. If it's equipped with it there is a black plastic module attached to a bracket under the mater cylinder area it has 2 plugs in it unplug the connector with more wires it and see if the lamp stops flashing If so there is a fault in the system and have it scanned for codes to see what the issue may be. That was a pretty simple system there were only 3 parts that usually went bad the module, The "dump valve" or the brake lamp switch.
