Land Rover Repair: air suspension or air compressor problem, discovery models, air suspension

Question
Hi,, I have a discovery ,,year 2001 ,, now i have a have problem,, the rear suspension not raise up sometime,, is this air suspension or air compressor suspension not working ,, so please give me advice..

Answer
If the suspension has stopped lifting you are at a crossroad.  I have no way of knowing from here whether you need air bags, compressors, valves or what, but all those parts wear out and all are expensive.  The most economical and permanent repair will be to convert to coil springs, like most other Discovery models.  You can buy kits from www.roverparts.com for less than the cost of the air bags, and you can do the conversion with ordinary hand tools in your driveway. That would be my advice given costs of air bag repair and the age of the vehicle
