Pontiac Repair: anti lock brakes, pontiac montana, wheel cylinder

Question
I'm trying to replace the wire on the rear right wheel for the anti lock brake system on a 2004 Pontiac Montana. I can't get the wire off of the brake housing right at the wheel itself. Very tough to get at.

Answer
Hi Mike:

Bad news. You have to remove the complete hub/wheel bearing from the backing plate and axle in order to replace the harness going to the hub. Ther is no way around it without damaging the connector on the hib it's self. and if you do by some chance get the old one unplugged and fished out ther is no way you will get the new harness in there with out damaging the plug on the harness. Be VERY careful when you take the hub off that you do not damage the brake line going to the wheel cylinder. Good luck :)
