I guess what i'm asking is do you have any sort of estimate on much this will cost to get running at a repair shop? I dont have very much money but I am willing to save for this ant get this going... thank you

Answer
First, look around for a chevy car club and join it.  That will put you in a position to get a lot of answers.  Keep the car original.  Don't cluge it up and try to make it into a hot rod.  A lot more fun with it restored to original.
Take you time with it.  To get it running should not cost too much.  The car club is the key.  They will know who works on them and give you good direction.  Find a old timer who knows chevy's and ask him.  Try some local car shops around and ask them.  Don't just drop it off some where and tell them to get it running.  That's an open checkbook.  Try to find a service manual for that yr, so you can do a lot yourself.
Just remember, you don't have to do anything fast.  It won't hurt the car to sit a little longer.
Good luck
