Pontiac Repair: blower motor relay, automatic climate control, inner fender


Question
i have a 97 Pontiac bonivelle sse 3800 motor, the blower motor was going out on it the shaft that the fan bolts to was loose in the motor housing i ordered the part and as i was coming home the blower motor stopped. when i got home i put the new blower motor on and it didn't work, with the fan setting on high i was getting 2.5v out of the blower motor pigtail, i belive its the relay but i haven't had any luck finding it

You didn't mention it so I'm going to assume that if this is an SSE then the car is equipped with automatic climate control. And in that case ther is no relay for the blower motor. the motor is controlled by a part called a blower motor control module. It's located on the top of the heater box under the under hood fuse box assembly. If the module is not the issue then check the ground for the motor. It mounted to the right side of the inner fender near the battery. Good luck :0
