Pontiac Repair: Brake Lights, pontiac grand prix, fuse block

Question
The brake lights on my 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix are not working. I replaced the bulbs, but they are still not lightening up when I press on the brakes. Please help. I don't know anything about cars and I can't spend much on car repair.

well the next thing to do is check all the fuses. there is a fuse block behinf the glove box and one under the hoot on the passenger side. make sure any fuse that is marked brake or turn is good. The other thing to do is check to see if the 4 way flashers work. I belive on this car the 4 ways and the stop are the same bulbs? The next thing it could be is a stop lamp switch is bad. Good luck :)
