Pontiac Repair: Power Window 1998 Pontiac Grand-Am GT 4DR V-6, grand am gt, pontiac grand am gt

Question
Hello, I have a 1998 Pontiac Grand-Am GT 4DR v-6.  The power window motor was replaced, and screwed onto the original regulator.  All was assembled back.  This window had worked, but now it goes up and down crooked, with the front part dropping down and binding.  This is the drivers side window.  Is the regulator bad? or is there a rear track stablizer for the rear part of the window?  I have removed the door panel again, and all the bolts are in and tight.
Thank You.

Answer
HI Bryan:
Yes the regulator is bad. The arms on it are bent causing the window to rise and lower on an angle. Pretty common on those cars. More than likely the regulator was the root cause to the motor going bad in the first place. The regulators start to bind up and put undo pressure on the motor and then they go bad. The regulator has a stabalizer as part of it It's the bar that has 2 screws that hold it to the door panel. Good luck :)
